Framing of Malcolm Hughes Originals

The price quoted for each painting includes a fine handmade frame. The frame is selected to compliment the painting based on a criteria of appealing frame styles that work in many different settings. 

Frame coloration and style is an important factor when matching it to the painting, thus occasionally I apply a final finish to the frames in my studio.

The style of frame is finally a matter of personal taste.  Mine tends towards minimal ornamentation these days. 

There is not one frame that must forever remain with a particular painting.  Often one finds that changing a frame can reveal fresh nuances in a painting, especially in regard to its colors.  So if you prefer to match your own frame to my painting you are welcome to do so.  I can always apply a frame credit upon the initial purchase of a painting.
