"Palo Duro Sundown"
24X36" oil - available - #826
I spent a fair amount of my youth hiking, camping, staring at, and eventually painting this canyon near Amarillo, Texas. Very colorful, rugged, and the evening sunlight is a sight to behold.
"High Prarie Morning"
30x24" oil - available - #5-31
The northeastern highlands of New Mexico on a summer day are an ever-changing drama of light and shadow. Antelop graze in the foreground.

"Evening Light on Valdez Valley"
24X30" oil - available - #10-20
Sweeping rythyms and arching shadows in the late afternoon sunlight, a gentle end to a day of building and now receeding summer clouds
"Varied Colors Along the Rio Grande"
24x30" oil - sold - #10-21
The Rio Grande as it snakes through ancient lava flows around Embudo, New Mexico has always been an area of intense interest to me and many other outdoor painters (The joke being that when one painter sees another out here, he rolls down his window, hands flailing, and shouts "It's been done! It's been done!.") Well, I've certainly done my share of interpretations of this amazing valley.

"Morning at Eagle Nest Lodge"
12x16" oil - available - #10-25
A ruin is all that's left of a landmark of older days. The Lodge sits beside a popular fishing lake within the Enchanted Circle of New Mexico.
"Cottonwoods of the Taos Valley"
30x40" oil - sold- #4-9
Old Cottonwoods (well, relatively old for Cottonwoods) have lined the roads that approach Taos from the north, at least until recent drought has taken its toll. I'm pleased to have captured the look of these trees as set against the mountains, before they disappear.

"Mission Concepcion"
9x12" oil - available - #06-29
This Spanish church on the San Antonio River in Texas has served one of the oldest parishes in North America.
"Summer Dawn, Taos Valley"
6x12" oil - sold - #8-32
I painted this piece very early one morning from our front yard in the Taos Valley as the family slept indoors. One of those soft, quiet summer dawns.

"Rio Grande at Sundown"
24x30" oil - available - #61
I've done a number of paintings up and down this section of the Rio Grande in New Mexico, and the time of evening shown here is especially thrilling to me.
"Gorge Bridge" (Taos Valley, NM)
12x12" oil - available - #F635
